The Britt Bears Story
Britt Collinson has loved creating handmade gifts since she was a little girl, always adding her own special touch. When she moved from England to Australia at 11, she left a beloved bear behind - a small heartbreak that quietly stayed with her.
Her passion for making grew at Sydney’s weekend markets, where she sold her furry creations called “Fluffy Fings.” From fluffy-covered books to frames and pens, everything was bright, joyful, and wrapped in soft faux fur.
Before long, she was supplying more than 200 stores across Australia.
Britt’s creations and style evolved, and in 1999, she handmade the very first Britt Bear - a simple, flat, soft teddy that quickly captured the hearts of little ones. Who knew this old-fashioned flat fellow would change her world and eventually lead to the Britt Bear Emergency Service, helping lost or well-loved bears find their way home or be lovingly repaired?
Each Britt Bear is made with love and a sprinkle of magic (the kind only little ones truly understand), becoming treasured keepsakes and lifelong champions.
